The first album was more like an experiment, because we didn't know how it was going to go, but we also had all these guests. There had to have been 15, 20 other people on the album. We knew this time around, we wanted to streamline it a little bit and kind of focus on the core four. The four of us did all the writing together, and we wanted to streamline the guests — mainly leave it to singers, to give it more of a band feel. The first time around was like more of an experiment; this time around, it really felt like a concise unit between the four of us. In her obviously orthodox Mormon paradigm dad's a bishop, she went to BYU and on a missionunderstand that she believes her husband must be an orthodox Mormon and get married to her in the temple. I got married to a Mormon woman. You don't have to believe them yourself, but you need that respect in thought as well as action, and you need to frame this as your own journey because you can only change yourself.
Anecdotes vs a much larger sample size. We need to believe fully and then we make choices, not the other way around. Why do we not talk about Heavenly Mother. I've been in a similar situation before. You have to make the decision as to what you want your home and your children to have in that home. I want so much to be supportive, but since my family is gone, I find myself afraid that I will come off as needy if I ask for attention or more affection. We need to get over ourselves and start loving each other how the Lord intended. Do you believe in the Gospel as taught by the Church.
